Travel Conditions on National Roads

Flooding has been reported on the following national roads:
Cork
N72 Flood damage and potholing on pavement near Mallow Racecourse.
Galway
N6 The N6 is open at Craughwell. Access to the M6 Galway to Loughrea route has now ceased. Traffic must use the existing N6.
N6 Ballinasloe – N6 Bridge crossing of the River Suck has fully reopened to two way traffic. Access to the M6 has now ceased. Traffic must use the N6 through the town.
N17 The N17 at Claregalway is now open to two way traffic. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution.
N18 Galway to Gort - closed at Kiltartan, north of Gort. Traffic from Galway City to points north of Kiltartan may use the N18. Travelling to and from Gort and all points south detour via N66 to Loughrea and to Galway via Craughwell and Oranmore on the N6.
Crowe Street in Gort remains impassable.
N63 The road remains flooded but is passable between Turloughmore and Annagh Cross. Motorists should proceed with caution.
N63 Closed between Horseleap Cross and Moylough - local diversion in place.
N65 Portumna Bridge has reopened but traffic is down to one lane on the approaches.
N66 Driver caution is advised on the N66 Gort to Loughrea road where pavement damage is reported. Traffic delays are being experienced due to emergency repairs.
N84 Galway – Headford Road: Curragh Line is passable. However, delays can be expected. Pavement has been damaged by floodwaters south of Currandulla Cross
Cavan
N3 Butlersbridge to Belturbet Road closed at Kilduff / Bunn
Leitrim
N4 Carrick-on-Shannon – closed at Tesco local detour in place
N4 At Masonite factory – passable with care
Roscommon
N63 Roscommon to Galway Road has reopened to two way traffic at Athleague.
North Tipperary
N65 Lorrha junction at Carrigahorig between Portumna & Borrisokane is impassable
Longford
N63 The Longford to Lanesboro road at the railway bridge in Longford has reopened to two way traffic.
