| Description: | The scheme comprised 17.5 km of motorway together with associated interchanges and local road realignments and included a 450 m long viaduct spanning the Blackwater Valley. Construction commenced in June 2004 on this PPP and tolled scheme. The construction consortium was Direct Route (Fermoy) Ltd. and the scheme was officially opened on 2nd October, 2006.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the trans-European transport networks budget. This project has been delivered through the Authority’s PPP mechanism. |
