| Description: | The construction contract for Phase 1 of this scheme (the first 1.5 km in the urban area) was awarded to Wills Bros. Ltd and construction commenced in September 2005 and opened in August 2006. The total scheme will have a length of 5 km . The contract for Phase 2 was awarded to Noel Regan and Sons,construction commenced in January 2007 and the scheme was officially opened to traffic on 14th December 2007.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21. |
