M50 Upgrade Phase 3

| Description: | The works relate to a 1.7 km section of the M50 Motorway between the N3 Interchange and the Westlink Toll Plaza. The contract comprised the design, execution and completion of an upgrade between the Southern Limits of the nosings to the N3 off/on ramps and the northern end of the widened approach to the Westlink Toll Plaza. The works included widening to provide for extra lanes utilising the existing central reservation and verges of the present dual two-lane motorway, providing three 3.5 m wide running lanes, a 3.5 m wide auxiliary lane and a 2.5 m hardshoulder in each direction with a minimum 2.6 m wide central reservation.
The scheme was opened to traffic on 30th April 2008.
