N21 Castleisland to Abbeyfeale

| Description: | Design & Build contract which commenced west of Headley’s Bridge approximately 15 km from Castleisland Town and extended the improved section of the N21 beyond Feales Bridge into County Limerick. The works included the construction of new wide single carriageway road including bridges over the River Owveg and River Feale, a local road overbridge serving the Townland of Kilmaniheen West and 16 underbridges and underpasses. The scheme was officially opened on 24th July 2006.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. |
