| Description: | The scheme comprised two lane dual carriageway and motorway, with associated grade separated junction, underbridges, overbridges and accommodation works through primarily a green field site. The route commences at the interface with the N8 Cashel Bypass scheme in County Tipperary and ends at the interface with the M7/M8 Portlaoise to Cullahill scheme at Cullahill in County Laois. Grade separated junctions are located at Cashel, Horse and Jockey, Twomileborris and Urlingford. The project was officially opened on 8th December, 2008.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the trans-European transport networks budget. |
