| Description: | The scheme which constitutes a 10.8 km bypass of the towns of Dromod and Roosky includes 7.6 km of Type 2 Dual Carriageway. The Design and Build contract was awarded to JONS Civil Engineering Limited in July 2006 and the road was opened to traffic in December 2007. It was a pilot Type 2 Dual Carriageway scheme.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. |
