N4 Edgeworthstown Bypass

| Description: | This scheme consists of the construction of a 3 km standard single carriageway road to the south of Edgeworthstown. It incorporates roundabout junctions to facilitate traffic accessing the town and the N55 National Secondary route. It includes the provision of a minor bridge structure over the Black River. The scheme was designed by Roscommon National Roads Design Office and Noel Regan & Sons (Plant Hire) Limited commenced construction in June 2005. The scheme was officially opened on 19th June, 2006.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21. |
