N5 Longford Bypass

| Description: | This scheme which comprises of a 2.6km standard single carriageway link between the existing N4 and the existing N5 will provide a bypass to the northwest of Longford Town.
The scheme which will include rail and river bridge crossings will restrict access to the proposed roundabouts at either end of the scheme.
The construction contract has been awarded to Wills Bros. and construction commenced in April 2011.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport. |
