| Description: | The N2 Carrickmacross to Aclint Road Realignment (N2 Carrickmacross Bypass) involved the construction of 8.5 km of single carriageway roadway to improve the existing road alignment and provide a bypass for the N2 National Primary route of Carrickmacross town. The scheme was progressed as a Design and Build contract and was officially opened to traffic on 21st January, 2005. This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. |
