| Description: | This scheme involved the construction of approximately 4.6 km of standard dual carriageway and 1 km of single carriageway, from the Carrowroe roundabout to Hughes Bridge in the town. The contract was awarded to Ascon Ltd in March 2004 and construction commenced on site in April 2004. The scheme was officially opened to traffic on 2nd September, 2005.
This project has been funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. |
